Making and nurturing disciples for Jesus is the focus of the adult education offerings at CCPC. In addition to Sunday School and Bible Study groups, there is a wide variety of Christ-centered study groups for all adult men and women.
New Class for Summer Adult Sunday School:
“Songs of Strength, Songs of Solace”
Ten-Week Study beginning Sunday, June 15 in Tennent Hall
An interactive, engaging study of the Scriptures on which African American Spirituals are based. In this study, we will:
listen to the songs
study the Biblical passages
and ponder the social and historical context of this truly American art form.
Songs will include some CCPC favorites, such as Rock a My Soul; Come Out de Wilderness; Plenty Good Room; Balm in Gilead; Go Down Moses; Lord, I Want to Be a Christian; Joshua Fit de Battle of Jericho; just to name a few.
Everyone’s invited! The class will have shared leadership which will include our Associate Pastors Stacy Ikard and Jeremy Wilhelmi.
