come to Camp Canyon 2008!
The week of July 7-11 will be filled with games,
crafts and recreation as we explore
what it means to serve God by
serving others!
Christian Community
The purpose of Camp Canyon is to
foster community and spiritual
growth in a fun, Christian
environment. Each CCPC member
may invite up to three non-CCPC
friends. Most activities are held at
the church with a few “road trips”
related to the camp’s goals.
Parents are needed to help with
transportation and may volunteer by
checking the appropriate line on the
registration form. All volunteers
must comply with the church’s Child
Safety Policy. Small Groups Campers are placed in a Small Group of 4-6
students and each group is led by a Senior High
Counselor. Small Groups remain together for
the week, except on Friday at Hawaiian Falls
when the camper-to-counselor ratio becomes
closer to 3 to 1. Often during the week, two or
more Small Groups combine for Large Group
activities providing plenty of opportunities to
make new friends.
Commitment Activities during the week build on one another
creating a unique community of faith. Campers
gain the most benefit by participating fully
throughout the week. However, we understand
that unexpected situations may arise for families
and we are happy to work with you. Due to the
nature of the experience, camp is limited to
those who are registered; walk-ins are not
permitted. Service A foundational part of Camp Canyon is service.
Students have many opportunities during the week
to participate in a variety of service activities.
Registration Registration forms are available through the Church Office
(972-238-8103) or may be downloaded HERE and mailed with your check “ATTN: Ida
Botto.” The registration fee is $150 and includes all camp activities plus a special camp t-shirt.
Registration closes at Noon on Friday, May 30, 2008. Late Registration
If space is available, last-minute registrations will be considered. However, there is no guarantee of receiving a camp t-shirt. Cancellations
Should you find it necessary to cancel, we will refund $100 if the cancellation request is received by June 26, 2008. There are no refunds after June 26.
