The Sacraments Workshop is a hands-on, activity-based event that provides parents with a time and a method to instruct their children (kindergarten through sixth grade) in the two sacraments of the Presbyterian Church: Baptism and Communion. All
baptized children who have been instructed in the meaning and
significance of the Lord’s Supper are welcome at the Lord’s Table.
The Lord’s Supper is usually served at CCPC on the first Sunday of each month. In the Presbyterian Church (USA), parents have the responsibility of determining when their child is ready to receive Communion.
This Sacraments Workshop can help parents with that decision. Each activity in the workshop requires adult involvement, so a parent must accompany each child. Reservations are required and the workshop is limited to 21 families. Our Sacraments Workshop is scheduled once year on Sunday afternoon from 12:00 to 2:00 pm.
