Click here to download the 2006 Discipleship Plan (PDF) February 2006 Dear Disciples, As a church family, we are entering a time to focus on Stewardship at Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church. During this time we will be asked to reflect on the year behind us as well look into the year before us. How well have we taken care of our church family? How well have we managed our own relationship with God? Have I truly listened for His will in my life? What a great time this is also to spend time in prayer and thanksgiving. What a great time to make our own Discipleship Plan for the coming year. It is important to have a plan for the direction you want to take your discipleship and for the areas you want to grow and develop. Some of these items may be attained within your family. Some of this growth may be with your church family in new areas of study and ministry (Uniting and Connecting). Some of this growth may be sharing your spiritual gifts and ministries with others (Reaching Out). As disciples, we need to identity what specific areas of individual Christian growth we may need and prayerfully formulate them into a plan to meet those needs, trusting that God will be with us each step in the journey. Attached is a Discipleship Plan we hope will be completed by each member of Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church. This plan not only gives you a tool to plan your spiritual growth, but also gives the Membership Committee a tool to plan for ministries, studies and fellowship opportunities needed now and in the future. Your comments will remain confidential. The Membership Committee will use the information; to update the database in the office with your most current mailing information Future ministries can be extremely important in connecting people. For example, Yoga and Tai Chi classes are beginning this month. The Membership Committee wants to help connect you with members who have similar interests and hobbies. We believe helping you feel connected at Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church will help you in your spiritual growth with Jesus Christ. As you make connections, your opportunities increase to reach out and minister to those in your church family as well as those who have not yet come to know Christ. Thank you for taking time to prayerfully consider your Discipleship Plan for the coming year. Discipleship Plans can be turned in with your Faith Commitment on February 12, or you can bring them to the Connection Corner in the Atrium or return them in the postage paid envelope.
