It is the duty of elders, both individually and jointly, to strengthen and nurture the faith and life of the congregation committed to their charge. Together with the Pastors, they encourage people in the worship and service of God; equip and renew them for their tasks within the church and for their mission in the world; visit, comfort, and care for people.

It is the dulty of deacons, first of all, to minister to those who are in need, to the sick, to the friendless, and to the many in distress. Here at Canyon Creek Presbyterain church, that responsiblity is carried out through one of several areas of ministry, including providing food, visitation, and other member-care ministries.

Members of the Nominating Committee meet as necessary to recommend nominees for the election of elders and deacons, members of the Nominating Committee, and any other positions as designated by the Session.

Members fo the Legacy Fund Ministy are current or former Elders and serve as a special advisory committee to the Session. These individuals promote the ministy, monitor the funds, and recommend disbursements for final Session approval.
