HANDS for Cambodia is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization that provides Health and Neighborhood Development Services to those in need in Cambodia. They partner with the Khmer Presbyterian Fellowship in Cambodia and coordinate their ministry with the Presbyterian Church (USA) World Mission regional liaison to Cambodia. HANDS is endorsed by the PC(USA) National Cambodian Presbyterian Council.
Providing basic medical care to the people of Kampong Speu Province has been a priority since the formation of HANDS in 2005. By working with the local pastors and holding clinics where there are cell churches, one village, Tror-Pank-Kest ("the bamboo pond"), is almost one hundred percent Christian. The witness of medical care through Christians who care is powerful indeed! Next steps involve addressing the needs of a New Church Development in Phnom Penh and implementing a program of Community Health Education.
