How to Pay 

 

 Welcome to North Star!

 Thank you for taking the time to visit us, we hope you feel welcome and that we will be able to answer your questions. Choosing a preschool for your child is an important decision and we want to help you make the best choice for your family.

Our preschool has been a mission of Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church and our home for twenty-four years. We began as The Discovery School, and in 2008 changed the name to North Star Learning Center, to reflect our street address and added extended care.

We offer a traditional preschool from September through May, with hours from 9:00-2:00pm. We also offer extended care from 7-9am and 2-6pm beyond the normal school day and throughout the summer.

Please allow me to introduce the office staff, we are here to guide and help you with your questions. I am the director, Julie Tangney. I have been with the school for nineteen years. I was a teacher here until I became director in 2008, and still continue to teach a few classes each week. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and the Family and hold a Director’s License from the State of Texas. Debbie Webb is our Business Manager; she is available to assist you with tuition & financial questions. Robyn Shearin is our Front Desk Manager, she is eager to help you with admission procedures and other general information.

Should you decide you would like to join our North Star family, please return the admission papers and a $200 registration fee (non-refundable) to Robyn at the front desk. After the paperwork has been processed, you will receive a confirmation letter in the mail.

An important item to note:

  • We must have an email address in order for vital communications to be maintained.

 All students need to be in their classrooms by 9:00am, ready to start the day of learning, love, and fun!
