SAFETY, A TOP CONCERN

We know your child’s safety is a top concern. We at CCPC are committed to ensuring the safety of all children in our care. We have many procedures in place designed to do just this. Our Child Safety Screening Process (for those who work with our children or youth) and our Sunday School Enrollment Process are examples of how we have integrated this issue into our programs. We also have a policy that prohibits all children under the age of 18 from roaming unescorted throughout the building or church property. Each child must be in a properly supervised program or with their parents while at the church.

We regret that our society has come to the place where we must implement so many safety procedures. We wish it were not so; however, your child's safety is our top concern!

CHILD SAFETY SCREENING PROCESS

Abuse is a spiritual problem. It shatters trust which is the foundation of faith. The vows we take at each child's baptism obligate us to reduce the risk of child abuse ever occurring in our ministries.

We have taken definitive steps to provide a safe and secure environment for our children, youth, volunteers and staff. The CCPC Child Safety Policy requires ALL persons who wish to work with our children or youth to complete an Information Form, interview, and criminal background check. If you would like to be placed on our approved list of volunteers, please complete the Information Form, available from the Church Office, and contact the Director of Children’s Ministries to schedule a brief interview. A copy of the CCPC Child Safety Policy is available in the church library for your review also.
