Judy Howle
Director of Middle School Ministries
Judy met her husband, Derek, at church during the passing of the peace in 1988 and they were married in 1990. When their first son was born, Judy resigned from teaching to raise her family, which now consists of four awesome young sons! It was when her youngest went to school that she became anxious to begin working again. After substituting and then completing a short-term job at her children’s elementary school, Judy felt she was not being called to continue working in the elementary school position she held.
It was a short three weeks after that school year ended when she received a call from a friend at church, telling her that her name had come up during a discussion of a middle school ministry position. Judy then realized why she hadn’t felt called to remain in that teaching position, but was instead being “called” to consider being a director of middle school ministry ( her very favorite age, but she hadn’t yet been blessed to work with them). She feels a great joy working with these awesome youth, of which her sons have been a part. The Middle School Ministry began in the fall of 2005 with a tremendous group of committed youth who have inspired the congregation by the depth of their faith.
