Who We Are and Why We Are…
"Growing Together and Growing in Christ"

The Youth of Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church are youth who love God and each other. We play together, grow together, share together, create together, and serve together. Our common experiences draw us together from our varied backgrounds and schools-seven high schools and counting.

"Growing Together and Growing in Christ," our youth mission statement, says it all. It is who we are, what we are about, and why we are here. This mission statement was developed by PYC^2, Presbyterian Youth Connection Creators, our youth leadership team. Sunday night programs are designed based on this statement, combining growth through sharing, learning to be interdependent rather than independent, and learning more about self and our need for Christ.

We are about relationships - between each other and with Christ. At CCPC-PYC, we are indeed the body of Christ. Each member brings his or her own attributes, gifts, personality, and special combination of strengths and weaknesses. And each part is essential for Christ's work to get done.

Part of this body of Christ is made up of a fantastic, growing group of adult mentors. These adults help with programming, skits, discussions, food, and "just hanging" with the youth, offering an ambience of acceptance and security, while challenging them to stretch and grow in practical ways.

Practicality is the name of the game, and our faith is stretched in practical, applicable ways through our Sunday evening programming: missions, games, studies, small and large group discussions, projects, and skits. If you are not here, we are missing you, and you are missing out!

Relationship. Growth. Mentoring. Practicality… CCPC-PYC… The Body of Christ
