Live Wires is a new and exciting ministry at CCPC for 6th through 8th graders. The church recognizes that middle schoolers can benefit from having a unique ministry tailored to their needs and is extremely enthusiastic about the new endeavor. Our goal is to provide these "live wires" the opportunity to strengthen their relationship with Christ through participation in Sunday school, Sunday night activities, Friday Night Live fellowship, mission outreach and more. We encourage you to join us in plugging these "live wires" into Christ through this dynamic new opportunity!
Sixth Grade - J-Rock
(Sundays, 9:35 am to 10:35 am, Room M205)
Our sixth graders use Group Publishing’s Hands On Bible Curriculum. This curriculum focuses on life application of the biblical teachings.
Seventh Grade - Boulders
(Sundays, 9:35 am. to 10:35 am, Room M206
The Seventh Grade year is focused on the Mustard Seed curriculum that walks them through the Bible. We provide an overview of the Bible story starting with humankind’s first interactions with our creator through the fulfillment of that relationship in Christ Jesus.
Eighth Grade - Cornerstone
(Sundays 9:35 am to 10:35 am, Room M204)
The Eighth Grade year moves us beyond an overview, to look more in depth at the major themes of our faith. We will be using new materials this year as we discover what it means to be called to be Christ’s body in the world.
Live Wires
(5:00 pm to 6:00 pm)
Live Wires is a new and exciting ministry for 6th through 8th graders. Our goal is to provide these “live wires” the opportunity to strengthen their relationship with Christ through participation in this Sunday night program, which includes singing, games, skits, small group discussions, and meaningful connections to each other and Christ.

Friday Night Live
(7:00 pm to 10:00 pm)
Friday Night Live is an “extension” of our Middle School Ministry here at Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church. Each second Friday night of the month we meet for a night filled with fun activities for our 6th through 8th graders. Sometimes we will meet in Tennet Hall of the church and other times we will travel to a designated location. When the event is at the church, we will be meeting from 7:00-10:00 pm and everyone is encouraged to be prepared to get messy! When off site, the times will vary and transportation will be needed. Our students are encouraged to reach out and invite their friends to participate as well! See the schedule as posted here for details.

Exaltation Choir
(6:30 pm to 7:30 pm)
Our newest addition to our wonderful and active music ministry, Exaltation is a Middle School Choir for the 6th through 8th graders. Tailor-made for their age and vocal development, this new choir will enjoy a variety of music and activities — leading in worship, sharing music out in our community, even traveling out of town.
Fifty-one middle school youth heading off to Mo-Ranch!
Wow! How blessed we are to have a huge group of 51 youth (grades 6-8) going to Mo-Ranch July 8-12. We have filled the largest housing available to youth groups—the Milk Barn and Bunk Houses at this Presbyterian camp located on about 500 acres in a beautiful setting on the North Fork of the Guadalupe River in the scenic Texas Hill Country. This is a favorite camp of our youth who have been attending from CCPC for many years. In addition to our 51 youth, ten awesome sponsors are attending. We will be traveling by charter bus with a van following the bus this year! The week’s events include small group activities with people from all over Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas to name just a few places. A key-note speaker will lead us in the Faith Factor theme of the week. Our church group has lots of free time to hang out on the river and ride the infamous 38 foot water slide that has been there for over six decades! These many activities keep us going and going and going… We would all appreciate your prayers for a fun, safe, and spiritually uplifting week for the youth and sponsors!
