Pastor Andy Odom

Andy is a Dallas native, growing up in the Preston Hollow area. He attended Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, remaining a member there until attending seminary.

Andy received degrees in economics and history from The University of Texas in Austin and spent 3 years in the restaurant business before entering seminary at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary where he met and married Denise, also a pastor, before receiving his Master of Divinity degree in 2001.

Following seminary, Andy and Denise moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, where he entered a 2-year Fellowship at Second Presbyterian Church, a program patterned after doctor's residency programs.  Andy considers those to be some of his most formative years in his early ministry.

In 2003, Andy was called to serve as Pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Bartlesville, Oklahoma (just north of Tulsa) where he served over 8 memorable years with incredible people before moving to Canyon Creek in 2011.  It is in Bartlesville that Andy and Denise had their two daughters, Marguerite and Mackenzie.  It is said that when each of the girls were born, Andy's mother brought dirt up from Texas so she could claim that they were born on Texas soil!  Now that is a serious Texan.

Andy finds great joy in being a pastor, husband, and father.  He looks forward to many years of wonder and excitement with the people of Canyon Creek.
