Meet our Teachers
Hannah Allen, BM. Voice.
Known for her clear ringing tone and her interpretive skill, Soprano Hannah Allen has been captivating audiences since her first performance with the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra at the age of 13. She has extensive experience singing in choirs including the TPSMEA All State Choir, the Gordon College Choir under the directorship of Dr. Jamie Hillman, and local church choirs. She attended Gordon College where she studied with Metropolitan Soprano Katherine Whyte, and Grammy Award-Winner Kevin McMillan. She has a bachelor’s degree in Music Performance from Gordon College, and she is currently pursuing an MM in Music Education and Choral Conducting at Southern Methodist University.
Sarah Allen, MM, M. Ed. Piano and composition.
Sarah holds a BM in composition from Samford University, a MM in Composition from Texas Christian University and is currently completing her master’s degree in Music Education at Texas Christian University. She directs the Children’s Music Program at Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church and is passionate about giving children opportunities to further their music education and grow their musical skills in a fun, safe and instructive environment. Sarah has taught private piano lessons for seven years, taught private theory and composition lessons for five years, and has taught various choral ensembles of all different ages. Sarah is passionate about music and believes that all children can benefit from a high-quality music education!
Aaron Walton, MM. Piano and organ
Aaron received his BA in music from Lyon College in 2013, where he studied organ under Dr. Russell Stinson. He then attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he studied organ under Dr. Yoon-Mi Lim and graduated with his MM in Church Music with a concentration in organ performance in 2018. He has experience teaching both children and adults and offers lessons in piano and organ.
