We
welcome you to consider being married at Canyon Creek Presbyterian
Church. We see such worship services as part of our ministry
to members and to friends in the community at large. Our staff
wants to work with you to make your wedding the special day
it will be in your lives. Each wedding at CCPC is viewed as
an act of Christian worship. What makes it Christian is the
couples commitment to put Christ at the center of their
new relationship. Such a commitment first presumes that at least
one member of the couple will be an active member here or in
another church, or will evidence a readiness to take the next
step on his or her journey of faith.
Whether you are planning a small
wedding or a larger formal ceremony, we can help you plan a
lovely and meaningful ceremony. Our new sanctuary will seat
835, but is an appropriate size for any size wedding. A member
of the CCPC ministerial staff will supervise the content of
the service and officiate at the ceremony. We are happy to invite
ministers from other churches to participate when that request
is appropriate.

Counseling
Pre-marital counseling is mandatory
for all couples married at CCPC. Since the number of sessions
may vary among the ministers, couples are encouraged to make
arrangements with the Assistant to the Pastor or the officiating
minister as soon as the wedding date has been secured. Pre-marital
counseling must be completed before the wedding date. See contact
information below for more information.
Wedding
Coordinator
The Wedding Coordinator on the
CCPC staff will be an invaluable asset in the preparation for
your wedding Service of Worship. She will meet with you for
consultation after you have scheduled a date on the church calendar
and will be able to help you make many decision. In addition,
the Coordinator will direct the wedding party through the rehearsal
and assist at the wedding.
As a service to the bridal couple,
the Coordinator will provide a preferred referral list for photographers,
florists, off-site reception facilities, wedding, cakes, invitations
and videographers. She will also introduce you to the Music
Staff who will work with you on the music for your wedding.
Wedding
Service
The ministerial staff of CCPC
allows a traditional Service of Worship for marriages. Although
the order may vary somewhat with each of the ministers, the
basic parts for each service includes the following:
Wedding
Receptions
Coordinating the reception is
a service of the CCPC Wedding Guild. There are several areas
in the church appropriate for receptions of all sizes, depending
on your needs. We encourage you to tour our facility and make
this determination for yourself. Our Wedding Coordinator will
offer suggestions depending on your requirements. Although the
deadline for accepting reservations is one month prior to the
event, we recommend that you make this decision early in the
cycle to avoid any scheduling conflict. Please note that alcohol
may not be served at any function at CCPC.
Music
We recognize that music is a
vital part of any worship experience. Since your wedding is
regarded as an act of worship, the music selected must reflect
the faith of the bride and groom and the sacred nature of the
service. The wedding fee includes a consultation with a member
of the church music staff to select music, instrumentalists,
and soloists if desired.
