Remembrance Tree in the Columbarium
CCPC Cares
CCPC Board of Deacons
Our Deacons provide care to members and friends at times of need. Deacons make pastoral visits, provide meals, flowers and communion. They watch over those in hospitals, care facilities and with long-term illnesses. They also send cards and help families at the time of birth and at the time of death. If you feel called to be a deacon, please contact Pastor Ellen or fill out the signup form below.
You can help us!
The Pastors and Deacons of Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church want to become more aware of the needs of our congregation. If you or someone you know in the congregation has a special need (such as an extended illness, a hospitalization or a death in the family), you can help by contacting us by email.
Grief Care
At CCPC, our deacons and grief care ministry work together to care for those who have lost loved ones. Our intent is to walk alongside as needed. Some of our remembrance services are:
All Saints' Roll Call and Remembrance Luncheon, first Sunday in November
This is a meaningful time shared with your family of faith as we remember those loved ones who have died in the last year.
Remembrance Tree, Advent and Christmastide, in the Columbarium
We hang an ornament on the tree, remembering our loved ones at Christmas. You may bring a special ornament that holds meaning for you, or hang one provided.
Longest Night Remembrance Service, 6:00 pm, Sanctuary, December 21 each year
This service of hope reminds us of the hope of the dawning of Christ as the days begin to lengthens and the darkness lessens.
